ABOUT ME

Hey! My name is Joanne. I am a Tattoo Apprentice and Body Piercer at Eclipse Tattoo Studio based in Olney, Buckinghamshire. I started my journey as an apprentice in December 2025, and have been piercing professionally since 2017.

I grew up around tattooing from a young age, spending my teenage years in my dad’s tattoo studio. Being surrounded by artists, artwork, and the culture of tattooing early on had a huge influence on my creative path and shaped my respect for the craft long before I ever picked up a machine.

Artistically, I’m drawn to bold, expressive styles with strong structure and contrast. I especially love old school traditional, neo-traditional, blackwork, dotwork, illustrative work, and anime-inspired designs, mainly within a black and grey colour palette, but I dabble with colour too!

At the moment, my focus as an apprentice is on learning the fundamentals of tattooing, while honing in on my own style under the guidance of my mentor Tash.
